When Carvery Restaurant first opened its doors in September 2000, it was the first eatery in Sarawak to adopt the Brazilian ‘churrascaria’ concept.    ‘Churrascarias’ are  restaurants where waiters serve from table to table with skewers of specially seasoned and slow-roasted meats prepared according to the Brazilian barbecue ‘churrasco’ way.   Using savvy showmanship, the servers carve these delicacies tableside, creating an elegant and bountiful feast.


With more than 10 years of experience, Carvery Restaurant enjoys a string of strong loyal followers who value and trust its uncompromising and consistent food quality.   It made a major change recently by relocating to an all-new city centre location at Abell Hotel, a new boutique hotel within Kuching’s golden triangle along the Tunku Abdul Rahman Road.


The move to this better location has made the Carvery more accessible than ever for its customers.  Now sporting a chic and vibrant decor within the huge dining area inside Abell Hotel, Carvery has upped its patrons’ dining experience to a new level.


The restaurant’s signature offer is its Carvery Buffet and this modern ‘churrascaria’ continues dishing up a wonderful selection of 14 grilled air-flown premium quality meats and seafood.  The varieties served include roasted lamb leg, lamb chop, rum steak, mussels, smoked beef, beef ribs, fish fillet, turkey ham rolls and an array of sausages.


Guests can have as little or as much as they want, and there is a chip placed on the table for each diner which will tell the carvers when to serve and when to stop!  The green “Serve Me” side tells the carvers to continue serving whilst the Red “Thank You” side signals to the carvers to stop serving.


For some greens to accompany the meat buffet or for those who are simply not great meat eaters, there is also a Hot and Cold Salad Buffet counter featuring imported vegetables, pasta and soup. Following on that, we are well known for both our signature Mushroom & Vegetable Soup! This again comes under one price you pay for Carvery Buffet, all you can eat!


Pioneering yet another concept for its diners, this well-known restaurant has also added a Butcher Counter offering a wide choice of premium meat such as air-flown chilled USA beef, baby lamb rack, Wagyu beef, foie gras and New Zealand salmon steak.  Patrons can select their choice of meat or seafood from the Butcher Counter base on price according to the weight per piece selected and grilled to perfection accompanied by trimmings and salad – all at reasonable prices.


The all-you-can-eat Carvery Buffet is available for lunch at RM55 nett inclusive of 6% GST per person, whilst the dinner buffet is at RM88 nett inclusive of 6% GST per person.  Carvery’s Salad Buffet is also available at RM30++ per person.  There is also an ala carte menu featuring a good range of exceptional favourites of appetizer and main course.
